Check out these little purses made of cardstock and patterned papers. I've seen several sizes and shapes of this same concept posted on blogs and decided to try my hand and making one. My favorite method to make any 3-D project is using some sort of die cut, Cricut, Sizzix, SCAL, etc. - trying not to hand cut any more than absolutely necessary. So I opened up SCAL and started playing with shapes and joining them together until the file for these little purses was born. What a great feeling of accomplishment. Having friends that do not use SCAL though, meant that a hand cut file needed to be created also. All that was needed then was to "snip" out a screen shot of the SCAL file, scale it to the correct size and plop it into a Word document. Piece of cake. I'm thinking the next ones should be made of a colored cardstock and embossed with the aligator texture, then coated with clear embossing powder.
