Wings Envelope Album

I started this envelope album last year sometime, but got sidetracked with workshops and, well, LIFE.  Recently I pulled out of my "to do" stack and finally finished it.  Sort of.  I still see places where I want to add stuff, but I am working really hard at learning when to stop.  I have a friend that says, "Stick a fork in it - it is done."  So, I stuck a fork in this one and called it done.

I used 5 x 7 Kraft envelopes, binder rings, CTMH Wings paper pack, cardstock, ink, stamp sets, and stickers.  Some of the die cuts are from the CTMH Art Philisophy Cricut cartridge, some from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge.  The medallions are Martha Stewart corner punches.  And I'm sure there's some misc. craft store embellishments there somewhere.

Anyway, here are some of the pictures.

It's A Winner!!!

I recently participated in a group challenge to create a layout using papers from more than one paper pack, and if you know me, you know that is indeed a challenge for me.  Yes, and I color inside the lines too!  One of the many reasons I started using Close To My Heart products is how easy it is to use a paper pack where all the coordinating has been done for me.  I don't have to spend a lot of time matching cardstock and papers, and can spend more time on the fun part of decorating the pages.  Anyway, this challenge looked like something I needed to do to help me think outside the box, or paper pack actually.  CTMH does a wonderful job of designing their paper packs to coordinate well with each other and many consultants integrate paper packs all the time, so honestly I cannot figure out why I resisted for so long.

Our group leader, Melissa Robinson, posted all the layouts that were entered in the challenge and they were voted on by a group of consultants.  And my layout of Sydney (my granddaughter, by the way) got the most votes.  All the layouts are beautiful winners, and it was tough to pick one.  I wanted to pick them all.  (to Melissa and the group - Thank You!)

Pemberley 12 Page Layout Workshop

Pemberley is one of the eight new paper collections from Close To My Heart, and features the colors Outdoor Denim, Indian Corn Blue, Desert Sand, Bamboo, Vanilla Cream and Colonial White.  One of the patterned papers has a trendy honeycomb design and another has a beautiful array of flowers and butterflies.  I tried to make sure that this workshop has some layouts that are soft and femine (of course), as well as a more masculine look for all those difficult to scrapbook guy photos.  As usual I have a favorite in this set, and one that drove me crazy as I tried to finish it up, but I won't tell you which ones.  You'll have to guess!  These photos will have to do for now, but if I get some time I am going to try to get better lighting and better photos.

Wings 20 Card Workshop Cutting Guide

I am posting some links (below) for you to be able to access the Wings 20 Card Workshop that I posted some time ago.  I am thrilled that I am still getting requests for the cutting guide and card maps.  That is fantastic - and I thank you very much for all the great comments and emails.

I am hoping that these links will make it easier for you to access and you won't have to wait for me to email them to you.  Again, thank you for your interest in the workshop.

These two are to Google Documents.  Be sure to download both files.
