Nevermore 8 Page Layout Workshop

Have a look at four 2-page layouts made with Close To My Heart's Nevermore paper and embellishments collection.  This workshop is fun, has a whimsical kind of scary feel, and is full of beautifully cut Cricut images from the CTMH cartridges.  The featured colors are, black (of course), Sunset, Eggplant (great new color from CTMH) and Whisper – perfect for all those Trick or Treat or Fall Festival pictures.

Clean and Simple Zoe 8 Page Layout Workshop

Clean and simple Zoe 8 page layout workshop is finished.  The base pages of White Daisy are a good contrast to the pretty patterns and colors in the Zoe collection.  The crisp clean lines and theme makes is a great workshop for a lot of general subject pictures.  This is truly one of those workshops where the pictures just don't do the papers justice.    You can also see the layouts at this link on Pinterest.

Two New Lollydoodle Workshops!

On a personal note:
I took a little time off from making workshops, for some family time and a little trip to the mountains of New Mexico (getting us out of the sweltering Texas heat for a bit), but I am finally back into the workshop process.

About this workshop:
I finished the Lollydoodle 8 x 8 Kraft Album several months ago and just didn't get it listed.  Recently I picked up the leftover papers, added some cardstock and made 7 cards to go with the workshop.  Instead of reworking the Kraft Album workshop I just made another workshop for the cards.  So, if you happen to have the Lollydoodle paper pack and are looking for an awesome project to use it for, well here it is!  I think it is the little girl in me that loves these colors and patterns.  Hope you like it too!   You can also see them on Pinterest at this link:

A New Envelope Album with Artisan Style Papers from Graphic 45

The Artisan Style paper collection by Graphic 45 is perfect for making this envelope mini-album.  I used black envelopes and card bases from the local hobby store, and the 8 x 8 Artisan Style paper pad, embellishments and chipboard shapes.   The assembly on this one is super easy, and pure joy to make.  Just can't stop looking at all the rich beautiful colors and designs on the papers.

Butterfly Mixed Media

Really enjoying the mixed media canvases.  Two more made at The Crop Spot.

Cricut Design Space Classes

I will be teaching Cricut Explore® / Design Space ™ Classes again this month at The Crop Spot in Tyler, Texas.

The Crop Spot big screen TV will be used to show Design Space on screen as we go through the class. This will be a true hands-on learning experience.

Classes will be limited to 4 people per class to ensure that each person gets plenty of opportunity to learn and practice what they have learned. You need to bring your Explore machine, cables, cutting mat, and... a laptop computer to get the full benefit from the class.

Prior to the class you need to ensure the Explore has been set up to work with your computer, and that your Design Space software has been updated with the newest plug in, and that you have a Cricut account already set up.

In the 3 hour class,  basic use of Design Space will be covered, which includes Starting a Project, Selecting and filtering image screens, Inserting Images, Editing Images, and simple Cutting. Advanced use of Design Space will cover in depth image editing (welding, slicing, flattening aligning), uploading your own images, combining images to create new ones, maximizing material usage, custom material settings,  and anything else we have time to go over.

You will have a choice of two days in June.

The next 2 classes will be offered on:
Friday, June 19, 2015 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Saturday, June 20, 2015 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Class fee is $25 and must be pre-paid to hold your spot. Please call Jana Glosson at 903-939-0535 to sign up!

Blossom 8 Page Layout Workshop - Just in time for Mother's Day!

The CTMH Blossom paper collection is beautiful and feminine and I thought it would be perfect for a series of layouts celebrating Mothers – just in time for Mother's Day!  I'm going to use one of the layouts to celebrate my mothers (birth and adoption) and tell a little of my birth story.  Then I'll use one of them to tell the story of when I became a mother, and another to honor the mothers of my grandchildren.  I'm going to use the first one to highlight some of the women who have been an influence in my life.
However, these layouts will be gorgeous for anything where flowers and soft colors are needed.  Weddings, showers, gardening, sisters girlfriends, baby girls...  How would you use this lovely paper collection?

Look What I've Been Up To -- Finally learning about Mixed Media

LOVE IT!  Don't know why I waited so long to try Mixed Media arts.  My mind is swirling with possibilities.  I have so many project ideas in my head that I can't even take my afternoon naps.  Now that is serious!

There is a scrapbook shop in Tyler, Texas that is wonderful and the owner Jana Glosson is a very talented and patient instructor.  I took a class last week to make this beautiful canvas with the cutest coffee cups.  Then I went home and started pulling out stamp sets and all kinds of things I want to play with.

And the huge bonus is that Jana is starting to offer some of her kits and classes online in her ETSY shop.  So even if you are not close to Tyler, Texas you have an opportunity to make some of her gorgeous kits.

Here's the Coffee Cup Canvas that I made last week.
Can't begin to tell you how much fun this is to make.

If you want to order one of the kits and instructions to make one you can go to Jana's ETSY Shop - Vintage Crop Spot.
The listings for the kit and instructions also have a complete list of supplies needed to complete the project.  You can use supplies you already have or buy them from her shop.  One stop shopping.  I love it!
